2014 Big Red Cabernet

The RRR Ranch 2014 Big Red Cabernet Sauvignon is known as our signature flagship wine! Named after the first species of Red deer at the ranch, a monster of a stag, weighing in at 800 pounds! Our winemaker, Ron Ross, deems this delicious wine to be his personal favorite.

This varietal is of New Mexico appellation and has been aged for 3 years, plus in addition to over 2 months in American Oak barrels. The senses will be aroused at first popping of the cork with notes of raspberries and black cherry followed with layers of red currant and spicy vanilla. It is deep dark ruby in color with the ever so slight tinge of orange at the rim. This Cab is bursting with layered flavors rounded out by sweet tannins for the finish.

Our big bold red pairs well with your choice cut of beef or equally bold Italian fare. It has also been known to compliment the indulgence of choice tobacco in the cigar world! So, savor with your meal, as well as your after dinner delight.

Bending Branch Texas White

Our featured white wine this month is, Bending Branch Texas White, a beautiful sweetness of Texas appellation. Can you think of anything more Southern than a glass of Sweet Iced tea on the front porch of 75 degree fall day? Well here’s the match! A chilled glass of Texas White from the winery of Bending Branch located in the historic town of, Comfort Texas. A divine blend of Muscat and Roussanne varietals makes for that touch of Summer sweetness with a finish all its own. Lone Star Wine Cellars welcomes this delightful wine as part of our October wine club choices and we think you will enjoy it as part of your collection as well.
